Bigger and more international: HPCI CEE 2018 in Warsaw sets new records

The Central and Eastern European home and personal community gathered at the EXPO XII Centre, Warsaw from 26-27 September 2018 for the largest HPCI CEE to date. The eighth edition of HPCI CEE was again held in conjunction with Cosmetic Business Poland.

The number one event for the home, cosmetic and personal care industry in Central and Eastern Europe recorded a further increase in the numbers of exhibitors and represented companies (293 compared to 285 in 2017) and set a new record in attendance (1,542 compared to 1,200 in 2017) as well as with a larger exhibition area.
The HPCI CEE 2018/Cosmetic Business Poland was the meeting place for the home and personal care industry, emphasising its position as the number one trade fair in Central and Eastern Europe and a mirror for the latest market developments. International exhibitors presented raw materials for formulating home and personal care products, laboratory and manufacturing technology, testing and measuring devices as well as latest packaging solutions.

Growing number of international visitors
“The number of visitors from abroad was significantly higher than at previous events”, said Dr Sonja Schulte, Editor-in-Chief Coatings & Cosmetics at Vincentz Network. After Poland, Germany had the highest number in attendance followed by China, France, Turkey and Italy. Over 1,500 experts, out of 27 countries, from the home and personal care industry came to Warsaw. “That meant the HPCI CEE 2018 was not only bigger but also more international”, added Schulte.

Educational programme
In addition to the show, HPCI CEE 2018 also offered an extensive programme of lectures with different focuses. The technical seminars provided an overview of the latest developments in raw materials for the formulation of cosmetics, home and personal care products. The program was rounded off by a scientific conference in which renowned speakers from industry and academia gave an insight into the latest findings.

Safety Assessor seminar
The one-day DGK/IKW Safety Assessor Seminar took place on the first day of the HCPI CEE 2018 and gave safety assessors again the opportunity to update themselves and to exchange ideas with colleagues. The fifth edition of this seminar, which was held for the first time in 2014, was a huge success. Therefore, it is planned to offer this seminar again in 2019.
