Safety Assessment Seminar
On the first day of the HPCI MEE, interested specialists can find out more about safety assessments at the seminar programme designed by the IKW and the DGK e.V.
The safety assessment of cosmetic products is of great importance. All manufacturers are responsible for providing consumers with safe products. The contents of the safety assessment and the qualifications required of the safety assessor are legally defined in some regions, such as the EU. However, meeting the qualification requirements does not necessarily qualify a person to carry out a safety assessment, as experience and training are also of major importance. To this end, IKW and DGK developed a unique training concept 20 years ago. Through individual training segments, it provides an opportunity to obtain a “DGK Safety Assessor” certificate (https://www.safetyassessor.info/home.html).
Many regions without such legal requirements are now looking to the EU system for guidance. This has led to the decision to offer this training concept in English. At the same time, seminars will be held in various regions with local associations, where safety assessors and prospective participants will have the opportunity to learn about innovations and gain hands-on experience in peer workshops.
